Contact Management
Organize contacts with custom fields and segments
Overview
Contact Management helps you organize and segment your audience for targeted communication.
Contact Profiles
Each contact has:
- Name - Contact's full name
- Phone Number - WhatsApp number
- Email - Email address
- Custom Fields - Additional data you define
- Tags - Labels for organization
- Notes - Internal notes
Custom Fields
Create custom fields to store additional information:
Field Types
- Text - Short text (names, IDs)
- Number - Numeric values
- Date - Date picker
- Select - Dropdown options
- Multi-select - Multiple options
- URL - Links
- Email - Email addresses
- Phone - Phone numbers
Creating Custom Fields
- Go to Settings > Custom Fields
- Click Add Field
- Choose field type and name
- Configure options (for select fields)
- Save
Segments
Segments are filtered views of your contacts.
Creating Segments
- Go to Contacts > Segments
- Click Create Segment
- Add filter conditions:
- Field equals/contains value
- Tag is/is not present
- Last message date
- Save the segment
Example Segments
- VIP Customers - Tag = "VIP"
- New Leads - Created in last 7 days
- Inactive - No message in 30 days
Import & Export
Import Contacts
- Prepare a CSV file with columns:
namephoneemail- Custom field names
- Go to Contacts > Import
- Upload CSV
- Map columns to fields
- Import
Export Contacts
- Go to Contacts
- Apply filters (optional)
- Click Export
- Download CSV
Merge Duplicates
When contacts have multiple entries:
- Select duplicate contacts
- Click Merge
- Choose primary record
- Confirm merge
