Contact Management

Organize contacts with custom fields and segments

Overview

Contact Management helps you organize and segment your audience for targeted communication.

Contact Profiles

Each contact has:

  • Name - Contact's full name
  • Phone Number - WhatsApp number
  • Email - Email address
  • Custom Fields - Additional data you define
  • Tags - Labels for organization
  • Notes - Internal notes

Custom Fields

Create custom fields to store additional information:

Field Types

  • Text - Short text (names, IDs)
  • Number - Numeric values
  • Date - Date picker
  • Select - Dropdown options
  • Multi-select - Multiple options
  • URL - Links
  • Email - Email addresses
  • Phone - Phone numbers

Creating Custom Fields

  1. Go to Settings > Custom Fields
  2. Click Add Field
  3. Choose field type and name
  4. Configure options (for select fields)
  5. Save

Segments

Segments are filtered views of your contacts.

Creating Segments

  1. Go to Contacts > Segments
  2. Click Create Segment
  3. Add filter conditions:
    • Field equals/contains value
    • Tag is/is not present
    • Last message date
  4. Save the segment

Example Segments

  • VIP Customers - Tag = "VIP"
  • New Leads - Created in last 7 days
  • Inactive - No message in 30 days

Import & Export

Import Contacts

  1. Prepare a CSV file with columns:
    • name
    • phone
    • email
    • Custom field names
  2. Go to Contacts > Import
  3. Upload CSV
  4. Map columns to fields
  5. Import

Export Contacts

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Apply filters (optional)
  3. Click Export
  4. Download CSV

Merge Duplicates

When contacts have multiple entries:

  1. Select duplicate contacts
  2. Click Merge
  3. Choose primary record
  4. Confirm merge
